You can help seniors stay in their homes.

You can help seniors stay in their homes.
October 30, 2018 Giving Tuesday

Henry has lived in his home for 47 years. He knows everyone on his street, goes to the church around the corner and shops at the grocery store a few blocks away. These connections have been particularly important to him since his wife passed away last year. As Henry has gotten older, he feels more and more isolated. Some tasks around the house in the yard like raking leaves and shoveling snow have gotten more difficult. His vision is not as good as it once was so he doesn’t drive at night anymore.

Without help, Henry may have to leave his home. Research says severing connections and leaving their communities can be traumatic for older adults, increasing feelings of isolation and even decreasing quality and length of life. At MOM, we say together was can change that. Help us reach our goals on #GivingTuesday, and help seniors like Henry stay in their homes.

#GivingTuesday. A moment of action. A lifetime of change.
