Standard Imaging Volunteers Make a Difference

Standard Imaging Volunteers Make a Difference
January 9, 2018 Food PantryVolunteersBusinesses

For any business, time is money. So imagine a business finding the time to allow an employee to be out of the office one afternoon each week, all year round. Standard Imaging has done just that every week for the past 382 weeks—since September of 2010. They have accumulated hundreds of hours of volunteer service. A commitment like this demonstrates to us at MOM that Standard Imaging has a work culture of volunteering and that making an impact for good in their community is one of their priorities.

Currently there are six Standard Imaging employees who rotate into one volunteer shift each week as Client Hosts in our Food Pantry. Client hosts provide one-on-one assistance to MOM clients as they shop in the Food Pantry, helping them in a friendly, compassionate way. It’s reassuring for us to know that we can always count on a Standard Imaging volunteer to be here each week. The Standard Imaging volunteers have never missed a scheduled volunteer shift in their six and a half years of volunteering.

Standard Imaging is a leading manufacturer of radiation calibration and quality assurance instruments that promote patient safety and effective cancer treatment. Located in Middleton, it employs about 55 people. We are grateful for their dedicated service at MOM each week.
