NBC-15 Shares MOM's Efforts to Help Families During COVID-19 Crisis
March 14, 2020 MOM NewsPandemic

NBC-15 recently shared a story about what we at MOM are doing to help families we serve during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Normally, MOM has limits on food that families can take home. With the COVID-19 outbreak though, experts are now recommending that people try to refrain from going out into public spaces as much as possible and that we have extra food on hand in case we need to stay home for a period of time. To help with this, MOM is offering clients the opportunity to take home additional items beyond their normal shopping limits.

MOM is also handing out a bottle of soap to every household who shops there. “We know that personal hygiene items are expensive and can be hard to get right now,” said Ellen Carlson, Executive Director of MOM.

Thanks to NBC-15 for sharing our story. And thank you to everyone who is coming together to make sure people in our community have the food they need during this challenging time. Read the full story here.
