MOM Hires New Program Director
Over the past year as Executive Director, I've had the opportunity to see MOM through a new lens. After countless conversations with community members, volunteers, and staff, the Board of Directors and I considered next steps for MOM. Instead of refilling my past position, we decided to expand our program staff in order to create more impact in the lives of the people we serve.
I'm excited to introduce you to Shannon Ash, MOM's new Program Director who began Monday July 23. Most recently, Shannon has worked as the Housing First Programs Manager at the YWCA - Madison, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating housing programs. She also has previously served as Director of Supportive Services at a housing non-profit in Colorado. Shannon brings a unique educational background to her work, with a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and experience as a mental health care provider. One of Shannon's passions is supporting and engaging the community in order to best serve the mission of the organization. She is also driven to incorporate racial justice into all aspects of her work.
In addition, we would like to share with you that we are also looking to hire a part-time position to support the efforts in the Distribution Center. You can learn more about that position here.
I look forward to seeing MOM continue to grow and adapt to best meet the needs of neighbors here in our community. Thank you for your support that makes this possible.
