Meet MOM's Food Security Manager, Jules Lee
My name is Julius Lee and my preferred name is Jules. I am a native of Gary Indiana and a first generation graduate from Indiana University with a Bachelor and Master's Degree in Public Health. I served with AmeriCorps VISTA at Spencer-Owen Community Schools in Spencer, Indiana. I am also a graduate fellow from the University of Wisconsin's Population Health Institute.
Prior to my formal education, I volunteered for two years with the Community Kitchen of Monroe County Inc. in Bloomington, Indiana. I stayed there for eleven years, mainly because I enjoyed the work and the people I served. Yet I also felt I could do more to support health equity among underserved members; and this led me to returning to Indiana University to complete my education. In Madison, I enjoy walking along Lake Mendota and the grocery stores downtown. I also love a good sale!
