Family Garden update (July '16)
Notes from the garden last week:
"The garden reaps many benefits for all who participate. Yesterday at our work session, we learned the joy of squishing a cherry from a child between our fingers and letting the juice run down our hands. The cherry was tart and tasted all the better from a child's view. As we picked the cherries, we noticed a robin's nest with 3 eggs in the cherry tree! We shared with our feathered friend family, being sure not to disturb the robin eggs as we picked and leaving a few cherries behind. Respect for nature; respect for one another.
And Teresa and her two very helpful children plucked 5 pounds of peas from their garden alone!"
