Housing Assistance

Prevent Homelessness

Through the Stable Housing program, Case Managers provide housing assistance and budget counseling to help prevent eviction and maintain long term stable housing.  Receiving assistance with rent, security deposit and utilities can make the difference in a crisis.

Case Managers also register individuals and families for the Food Pantry through which they have ongoing access to a wide variety of healthy foods.  As a result, people no longer have to worry about feeling "food insecure" and can focus their resources on other bills such as rent, utilities, car payments and more.

Case Managers also work with landlords and other community agencies in order to assist the work that people are doing in order to achieve their goal of stable housing.

Connections Housing Program

We are happy to announce the creation of Connections, a housing program that will serve households that are in doubled-up living arrangements. Doubling-up is when an individual or family lives with another household temporarily or shuffles indefinitely between homes because of economic need. There are many people in the MOM service area that are doubled-up and would benefit from case management support and financial assistance to get into their own place, but people who are doubled-up are not eligible for the HUD-funded housing programs in our community. Connections will help to address this critical unmet need for housing supports and funds and allow these households to have a place of their own to call home.
