Share Your Garden's Bounty
MOM’s Food Pantry welcomes clean, trimmed produce, including fruit, donated by local growers.
Especially desirable are: fresh herbs (bay leaf, parsley, oregano, basil, sage, dill, etc.), berries, currants, chives, garlic, ginger root, bok choy, Chinese broccoli, pea pods, green onions, fennel, leeks, burdock root, okra, carrots, peppers (hot or sweet) asparagus, green beans, and Brussel sprouts.
Thanks to our gleaning efforts with area growers, and our MOM Food Pantry gardens, we are less in need of : white radishes, tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, kale, swiss chard, lettuces, parsnips, turnips, sweet corn or watermelon.
Because we do not have food safe learning facilities, we ask that you prepare produces donations by:
Trimming the tops of root vegetables such as carrots, radishes, beets, kohlrabi, etc.
Washing and removing all dirt/manure from produce prior to donation.
Thanks to all of you who grow a row, glean, or otherwise donate fresh, healthy produce to MOM.
