Distribution Center (Food Pantry and Clothing Center ) Assistant
Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM) is working to prevent homelessness and end hunger in the West Madison, Middleton and Cross Plains area. We are excited to announce we are seeking a newly created DC Assistant to add to our growing team. In the role of a DC Assistant you will be responsible for the overall training and mentoring of MOM’s DC volunteers to ensure greatest impact of MOM’s services in the lives of people in our community.
As a member of the DC (Food Pantry and Clothing Center) team, you will help to create a welcoming and encouraging environment for all of MOM’s community members, including volunteers, clients and donors. Activities include placing, onboarding, training, and supervising volunteers, as well as maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, providing informational material, and providing general support.
The primary placement for this position will be in the DC, working with Food Pantry and Clothing Center volunteers, as well as with periodic group and event volunteers as needed. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule between the hours of 8am and 3pm, working several days a week and on some Saturday mornings, flexing hours as needed for best volunteer and program support for approximately 20 hours/week.
